Welcome and Thank you for booking your Wedding Photography with Adôrlee.

In the lead up to your wedding, you are bound to have lots of questions. Many of you would not have planned a wedding before, and beyond the excitement, you may feel a little overwhelmed by how much there is to plan and remember! I am getting married in 2020 and even as a wedding photographer and having worked in the wedding industry for over ten years, I struggle with the planning, the costs and all the drama and tears - often caused by those closest to you which you never expected! We even had one person call and ask if we can move our DATE!!! Yep you read that.
SO... I want for all Adôrlee Brides & Grooms to have the best experience possible and enjoy the planning process, now I can't count for all of your planning but I can at least make your photography side of it one less thing for you to worry about. Planning a wedding really should be exciting, you're planning one of the best days of your life! Someday you will be telling your children about this day, maybe even passing down your dress, even if it's just for the material! You will be showing your photos and reminiscing about all of these great memories with your family and friends for many years!

When I created Adôrlee I wanted to exceed expectations and to make everything simple for you. As such in 2015, I created a Wedding Guide just for my clients crammed with photos, tips, and useful advice. It has a timeline guide, stories, a directory of recommended suppliers, and even words of wisdom from Real Brides and Grooms. Being that we are now in 2019, I am currently doing a major update to this Wedding Guide, and I'm making sure I include as many tips as possible, and things I've learned not only as a photographer, but also as a bride-to-be. I'm hoping to finish the guide by the end of March, and would welcome any tips or advice that you have to pass on to other Adôrlee Brides & Grooms.

I try to keep an eye out for bridal shop special events and Wedding Dress Sample Sales, after photographing over 400 weddings I know that there are some incredible bargains to be had and savings to be made at these not-to-miss events. Sample sales are where you can grab a bargain, and trunk shows are just fab for having the opportunity to try on literally, an entire collection. Be sure to read the small print as many of these shows you need to book a place.  I shall try to keep these listed here, although if you hear of any, please do inform me so I can add them to the list.

Here’s a list of things I hear a lot, on the morning of a wedding. I've purposely listed these to ensure that you can double check all of these BEFORE your wedding day so that there is no panic and your morning runs smoothly:

a little reminder

1. Scissors – for cutting off labels etc...
2. Who has the boutonnieres? (flower corsage)
3. Have you practised tying the cravat if wearing one? If not, get on youtube
4. Do you have a tissue for your Bride for the ceremony?
5. Remember sunglasses/ cigars for you and groomsmen if you’re wanting a ‘reservoir dogs’ style walking photo?
6. Have you finished your speech? Try to finish this before the morning of your wedding? and don’t forget to thank the future in-laws for bringing such a wonderful, beautiful, amazing woman into the world!
7. Do you have the Order of Services?
8. Who has the rings?
9. Have you cleaned and trimmed your nails? Remember they will be in the exchange of ring photos.

for the guys

1. Scissors – for cutting off labels etc
2. Who is taking your suitcase/ overnight bag?
3. Who is carrying your make-up?
4. Do you have flat shoes or wellies for walking across fields or rain if needed? and a nice brolly?
5. Who is walking Mum down the aisle and seating her?
6. Make sure bouquets are taken out of the water to let them drain (or dry off with kitchen roll) or they’ll be soggy on your dress!
7. Does someone have hair bobby pins in case of wind and messy hair and cotton buds to wipe away tears without smudging the make-up?!
8. Who is getting you dressed? Are they ready themselves?
9. Who is getting Dad sorted?
10. Do you have tit-tape for you or the maids if needed in an emergency?
11. Who is carrying a mini emergency sewing kit and a safety pin in case of dress emergency?
